GEN ART VANGUARD NEW CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR  Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce their participation in the Gen Art Vanguard New Contemporary Art Fair in Miami, FL this December. With a lineup featuring artists from their 2009 exhibition calendar, this show reflects the growing prominence of Carmichael Gallery in the world of emerging international contemporary art. Artists from six different countries will present new works on paper, canvas, wood and found objects in a variety of media.

The Gen Art Vanguard New Contemporary Art Fair, presented alongside this year's Art Basel Fair in Miami, is a four-day art fair taking place from December 4–7. It will bring together the top galleries, artists, and individuals who are defining the New Contemporary art movements from Pop Surrealism, Low Brow and New Brow to Urban Contemporary and Street Art. The goal of the fair is to advance the dialogue about these emerging contemporary art movements and their cultural context. The fair will take place in a stylish and sprawling 7,500 square foot studio warehouse located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District at 2135 NW 1st Avenue, directly across from Pulse Contemporary Art Fair. Gen Art Vanguard Art Fair is also ideally positioned just steps away from key neighboring fairs, including Aqua Wynwood and scopeMiami, welcoming new and veteran art fair attendees to discover the latest and most refreshing addition to the Miami art fair circuit.

EL MUSEO NACIONAL CENTRO DE ARTE REINA SOFIA
Gracias al certamen organizado por la IAA (Internacional Advertising Association) en colaboración con el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, junto a las salas que acogen obras de artistas modernos y contemporáneos como Picasso, Gris, Dalí o Miró, pudieron contemplarse los 35 spots que conformaron la lista corta del certamen La Publicidad en el Museo 2008. La presentación de este tercer certamen y los spots ganadores del mismo tuvo lugar en un evento único que se celebró el pasado 30 de septiembre y en el que se dieron cita artistas y profesionales tanto de los ámbitos de la publicidad como del arte. La segunda novedad de esta tercera edición (…) es que introduce el arte urbano en el museo por primera vez. Los visitantes disfrutaron con el trabajo de algunos artistas…: Sixeart (recientemente escogido por otro museo, la Tate Modern de Londres, para personalizar su fachada), Boris OPEC, Eltono, Nuria Mora, Sosaku Miyazaki y Ovni.
